ISR 2026 — 15th International School on Rewriting

Traveling to Nijmegen by public transport

Nijmegen Central Station is easily reachable by train. There is a direct train from Schiphol Airport, and from several train stations with international connections such as Arnhem, Venlo and Breda. There is also a direct bus from airport Weeze.

You can plan your train travel within the Netherlands easily through https://www.ns.nl, or train and bus travel through https://9292.nl.

You can also come by car; parking near the university is rather expensive, but is included for the accommodation (but let us know if you plan to do this, because the number of parking spots is limited).

Reaching the accommodation

You are welcome in the accommodation from Saturday evening, 11 July. The location is Wylerbaan 2a Groesbeek. There is a bus stop by the accommodation, serviced by bus 5, which rides every 10 minutes during week days, every 15 minutes on Saturdays, and every 30 minutes on Sundays. From central station, you can directly take bus 5 (in the direction Groesbeek Breedeweg); from the university, it's about a 13 minute walk to reach bus stop Groenewoudseweg where you can also take bus 5.

Reaching the university

The university, and in particular the Mercator building where the school is held, is easily reachable by both train and buses, to bus/train stop Nijmegen Heyendaal.

Renting a bike

Rather than taking buses or bringing a car, the most convenient way to get around Nijmegen is by bicycle! We will provide information here on where best to rent a bike at a later time.
